Ms Cockburn has received a prison sentence of 22 months after pleading guilty to embezzlement. It was heard in Glasgow Sheriff Court that she had used the printing company she worked for and their system to make payments into her own bank accounts. Her role in the company was an Accounts manager. Ms Cockburn is a first offender and mother of two children.  The sum embezzled was over £239,000. Sheriff Cubie told Ms Cockburn: “Only a period of imprisonment can reflect this behaviour going on over the time scale, the trust involved and cost to the firm from your actions.”
