Woman Charged Over Aberdeen Mans Death

Mr Alan Cowie who lived in the Tillydrone area of the city, was found dead on Wednesday the 3rd of January 2018 at his home address. His death is being treated as suspicious and a woman has appeared in court in connection with his death on Friday.

The Police are keen to let the public know that this is an isolated incident they believe. The family of the 65 year old have said they are “left shocked and saddened by Alan’s sudden death.”

Officer Gary Winter, of Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team, said: “Mr Cowie was well known locally in the Tillydrone area and I would like to appeal to anyone who has seen Mr Cowie over the New Year period, or has any information they feel is relevant, to get in touch with the police.”

Ms Sharyn Massie who is 52 years old has been charged with murder, attempted murder, attempting to prevent the course of justice and has been remanded in custody. Further enquires are still being carried out.
