Two brothers have been found not guilty of culpable homicide at the High Court in Glasgow. The men were charged with the murder of an alleged complaining customer. The Crown had alleged that the brothers had stamped on the man’s head which led to his death. The jury was shown CCTV of four men holding the man down in the post office shop where one of the men worked. One of the men stated he believed that he was being confronted by a ‘mad man.’ The other brother entered the shop to help his brother. The police were called but the man was very ill by this point and later was taken to hospital where he passed away. No further action will be taken in respect of the men.
