A mother and her partner have appeared in court accused of neglecting and murdering a two-year-old girl.

Margaret Wade, 36, and Marie Sweeney, 35, are accused of killing Lauren Wade between July 2014 and March 2015 in the Sighthill area of Glasgow.
Both women are alleged to have kept Lauren in filthy conditions without proper nourishment and fluids and caused her to take drugs.
They are also accused of neglecting two other children, then aged 10 and seven.
It is claimed that Wade and Sweeney, from Townhead in Glasgow, caused Lauren to ingest diazepam and that they kept her in a filthy house with insects, bags of rotting waste and dirty nappies.
The pair are accused of failing to seek medical care and air for Lauren, causing her unnecessary suffering and murdering her.
Papers from the court also claim that they failed to provide Lauren with adequate nourishment and fluids and that they failed to bathe her.
Both women made no plea when they appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.
They were both granted bail and are expected to appear at the High Court at a later date.
