A major Scottish gang of nine men face jail after police probe. The men were all due to stand trial at the High Court in Glasgow but have admitted a number of reduced charges. The Prosecutors have also made applications for the gang to be made subject to with ‘Serious Crime Prevention Orders.’ Prosecutors had listed 28 charges which included the shooting of Mr Monaghan outside a Glasgow school.
Other charges included were attempted murder as well as allegation of hidden cash. The charges span 4 years and a number of locations all across Scotland were listed on the charges. Judge Lord Beckett remanded all nine in custody and adjourned the case until late December. Gerry McLean, Police Scotland’s head of organised crime, praised officers for bringing the “dangerous” gang to justice.
